The upcoming Solar Eclipse in Aquarius 2018

The Sabian symbol I have listed below could not be more pertinent in my life right now. How about yours?

PHASE 328 (AQUARIUS 28°): A TREE FELLED AND SAWED TO ENSURE A SUPPLY OF WOOD FOR THE WINTER.

KEYNOTE: Knowledge and skill used in its natural surroundings for the satisfaction of vital basic needs.

This symbol combines, as it were, the implications represented in the two preceding ones. It relates to natural living the human capacity to prepare for the future and to use both physical strength and mental ingenuity. In meeting the hardships inherent in an existence close to nature, strength, efficiency and intelligence are needed, but they are incorporated in a life in which every act can be part of a harmonic and beautiful ritual permeated with deep significance.

This is the third in the sixty-sixth five-fold series of symbols. It refers to the efficient use of natural resources for insuring man’s well-being. Such a use is based on INTELLIGENT FORESIGHT.

Gienah is found in the Swan’s wing. Cygnus the Swan “Cygnus gives a contemplative, dreamy, cultured and adaptable nature. The affections are ill-regulated and unsteady, the talents develop late. There is some love of water and swimming and the arts.” The swan is yet another bird associated with Jupiter. This time it is actually one of his animal disguises. Jupiter took the form of a swan to seduce Leda, Queen of Sparta.Solar eclipse 2018 queen

On February 15th we have a New Moon and Solar Eclipse at 27° Aquarius. The eclipse is tightly conjunct Mercury and Juno, is square Jupiter and sextile Uranus. The ruler of the Eclipse, Saturn, is sextile Venus. Venus with Saturn, as well as theasteroid Juno are connected to the principle of devotion.

This is a South Node eclipse – South Node eclipses are about letting go. Both Lunar Nodes are about adjustments, and alignments – if North Node eclipses have a dose of mystery and unknown, South Node eclipses are more literal – the adjustments they require are more obvious. You may have been devoting all your life to a cause, to a dream, to an ideal (Aquarius). The eclipse will expose the current reality of that ideal. You may realize that you are devoted to a lost cause, or at least, your cause and the relationship you have with it needs to go through some changes.

To find out how the Eclipse is going to impact you, check which house of your natal chart Aquarius is in. If you have for example, Scorpio ascendant / Aquarius in the 4th house, you may realize that you have put too much energy and devotion into your family to the point of losing yourself. There are many people who stay in current jobs, relationships, friendships out of devotion, even if they are unhappy. The Solar Eclipse in Aquarius will challenge your relationship with the concept of devotion. Is it really worth it? Is your devotion unconditional or do you expect something in return? Venus sextile Saturn will give you the pragmatism to make the necessary changes.

Aspects

The Aquarian themes just mentioned are reemphasized by Uranus’ tight sextile to the Sun and Moon. The luminaries’ conjunctions to Venus, Juno and Mercury put a strong focus on relationships. Venus rules relationships, Juno stands for committed partnerships, and Mercury represents communication. All this suggests that you take an innovative approach so that you can communicate more effectively with those you’re close to.

Herkimer Diamond Chakra Healing and Balancing Energy

Herkimer Diamond, with its pure, crystal light, clears the chakras, opening channels for spiritual energy to flow. It stimulates conscious attunement to the highest level, and is particularly helpful in activating and opening the Crown and Third Eye Chakras.

The Crown Chakra is located at the top of the head, and is our gateway to the expanded universe beyond our bodies. It controls how we think, and how we respond to the world around us. It is the fountainhead of our beliefs and the source of our spirituality. It connects us to the higher planes of existence and is the source of universal energy and truth. When the Crown is in balance, our energies are in balance. We know our place in the universe and see things as they are. We are unruffled by setbacks, knowing they are an essential part of life.

The Brow Chakra, also called the Third Eye, is the center of our perception and command. It directs our sight and everyday awareness of the world. Our consciousness is located here, and we relate to ourselves through this chakra. It balances the important and the unimportant, sorting meaning from data and impressions. It commands the energy flow within the body. When the brow chakra is in balance we see clearly and understand what we see. Our thoughts and internal communications within ourselves are healthy and vibrant. We are open to new ideas, dreams, and visions. We can be quietly observant, and reflective, and can control the flow of energy within all the chakras.

Enhydro (water-included) Herkimers are special crystals that stimulate the Heart Chakra. Located near the center of the breastbone, the Heart Chakra regulates our interaction with the external world, and controls what we embrace and what we resist. It gives us the balancing ability to be ourselves within the environment. When the heart chakra is out of balance we may feel either controlling or controlled in a relationship, and become critical of the little foibles of others. We may find ourselves having inappropriately strong emotional responses to everyday external stimuli. Herkimer crystal energy resolves blockages and re-balances the heart chakra, helping us understand our own needs and emotions clearly. We can deal with the ebbs and flows of emotional relationships, understand their cyclic nature, and accept the changes.

Because of its ability to enhance the properties of other crystals, Herkimer Diamond works well with nearly any other stone to stimulate and re-balance chakra energies.

My objective is to help create a sense of peace and harmony within the individual so that the current challenge can be met and dealt with in a positive manner, thus making the journey toward wellness and peace of mind less traumatic.

Common Myths & Misconceptions About Hypnosis

Myth: You can be hypnotized to do things against your will

Fact: The hypnosis practitioner is merely a guide or facilitator. He/she cannot “make” you do anything against your will. In fact, during a hypnotic session, you are completely aware of everything going on. In other words you have the power to reject the suggestions.

This is a commonly held idea that has its source in stage shows and other venues that capitalize on the “power” of the hypnotist Of course, the answer to that question is “Yes” when you consider that the purpose of hypnosis is often to do things differently than we have done in the past. However it’s notable that these changes are not against the client’s will. Hilgard’s (1977) work at Stanford demonstrated a principle known as “The Hidden Observer” which indicates that there is part of the client which monitors the hypnotic process and which will protect them from responding in a manner that violates their ethical and moral standards.

Less often employed, there are certain few uses in which, under the direction of a specially trained hypnotherapist, the client can generate unconsciousness for the purposes of surgical anesthesia or the management of acute pain

Myth: Hypnosis isn’t an effective modality.

Fact: A Comparison Study Shows: “Psychoanalysis: 38% recovery after 600 sessions.
Behavior Therapy: 72% recovery after 22 sessions. Hypnotherapy: 93% recovery after 6 sessions” Source: American Health Magazine

Areas of Focus
